Sydney (She/Her)

“As a queer third generation Chinese American woman who grew up deeply Catholic, I refuse to compartmentalize my identities. My queerness will not ever be divorced from my Chinese American heritage or womanhood. The cultural and religious identity I grew up with has always complicated the feeling of belonging in my queerness. I still am working through shame around imposter syndrome around my queerness as I feel oftentimes in community, I'm sometimes not queer enough.”
