Jamie Stow

Owner, Lead Photographer

University of the Arts B.F.A, Photography, 2020

Hi, I’m Jamie and my pronouns are she/they. My passion for photography can be dated back to developing dark room prints in my parents’ garage after school. I knew art school was the only direction for me after graduation. I studied graphic design, because and quote “was born too late and photography would have made a great career 50 years ago before everyone had a camera in their pocket” and quickly discovered the confined edges of the design world left no room to fulfill my desires. To my family’s dismay, I decided to follow my gut and trained to be a photographer. Graduating at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, jobs were scarce so I took a full time job taking photos of cars at a dealership. However, the 9 to 5 lifestyle did not fulfill my need for creativity or my desire to tell other people’s stories, so I applied to be a wedding photographer at a national studio and soon after opened this studio. I’ve shot concert photography for Sad Punk Press, WXPN, and IMPRINT Entertainment. Some of the companies I've gained experience at include UberEats, DoorDash, Reflections Media, Timeless Media, American Wedding Group, George Street Photography, Once Like A Spark, Yours Truly Media, Shoott, and Legacy Photographics. And I've exhibited and been published in various places including Philadelphia Magazine, 19006, F-stop Magazine, LoosenArt, and Weasel Press.

Hey, I’m Zoey and my pronouns are she/her. Being behind the scenes and watching Jamie grow as a professional photographer and as a person over the last 7 years of our relationship, I’ve always admired her ability to stick with it and keep going. When she brought up the need for a business partner to help manage a client base that has grown past the amount of hours she had in day, I was hesitant to leave my career behind. For my entire life I have bounced through a lot of (many shortly lived) hobby's and interests, without a clear direction or focus, but had one thing in common: my unmanageable desire to create. The last four years I was able to focus a lot of my time and almost all my energy into fine art metal fabrication. This has taught me to think on my feet quickly, to try new things without letting the fear of failure stop me from trying again, and most importantly to know when to stop and call it is finished. However, there was no better person to take on that role than the person who knows her best. So I started training with her in the studio and on shoots and eventually began editing all her work. In the summer of 2023, an opportunity presented itself for me to transition into her business full time and I went for it, because after all I'd get to do the one thing i love almost as much as her, creating.
